Memorial Day Weekend

Hello! Here is a picture of "the bump" at 25 weeks. It's getting bigger every hour if you ask me!

This weekend was pretty relaxing; we didn't do much! We are not used to not having an action packed weekend...usually we're on the go! On Sunday morning we went and bought some new patio furniture. It looks really nice on our deck! We were outside all weekend which was nice; the weather was beautiful...until Monday afternoon that is! We had very cool storms roll through. They were fun to watch. Monday was our 2nd anniversary. We had planned to go out to a nice restaurant for dinner, but after a long weekend of being in the sun we decided to just stay home and relax. Perfect end to a great long weekend!

Baby Bedding

We got our bedding for the nursery in this week! I am so excited...I think it's very cute! Thank you Aunt Connie for giving us our shower gift early; I couldn't wait! I will post a picture of the nursery completed as soon as we get it done! This picture is just the stock picture from online. I think we'll have to find an elephant like in the picture though; maybe he'll take after his cousin Alec and his LOVE for elephants!

22 week ultrasound

Hello! Here are our last ultrasound pictures from May 2nd. I am sure that he's even bigger now! I don't know though; that head looks about big enough if you ask me! I like the one that looks like he's sucking his thumb. In the video that we got to take home of the ultrasound, he looks like he's talking to us. He's looking straight up and his mouth is moving. Mikey (my brother) said that he was asking us why the Lions passes on Matt Leinert in the draft :)

On another note, I am glad that the Pistons won Game 7 yesterday. I bought a Pistons onesie with a matching bib and they started losing! Hopefully the curse is over! Mikey's blood pressure goes up too high when Detroit sports gets stressful!

I went and officially joined Holy Family Parish yesterday. We've been going there since we moved here, but didn't attend the 2 hour orientation that they require. So yesterday I quit making excuses and went! It wasn't too bad. It was funny though because there was only one couple there that didn't have a newborn or was pregnant. I guess everyone else had baptism in mind too!

Week 24 and counting!

Hello! Since friends have gotten so spread out all over the country these days, I thought I would start a blog to keep in touch...and I encourage you to do the same! This way, whether you're in New York, Arizona or anywhere in between we don't have to lose touch!

Not much new going on with the baby. For those of you who have not heard....it's a boy! Justin Michael Brooks is due September 8th, 2006. I am very excited, but it still seems so far away! I can't wait until I am posting new pictures everyday for you guys to see!

I PROMISE that I will have Rob take a belly shot for those of you who have requested. Don't worry; I'll keep it clothed! It seems like in the last 2 or 3 weeks I've doubled in size. My stomach just keeps growing! I have my next appointment on May 31st so we'll see how much weight I've gained.
