First bath in his tub!

Today we put Justin in his bathtub that he got from Grandma Brooks and Godsie...he loved it! I was afraid he wasn't going to like it, but he was perfectly content until I washed his hair (as you can see below!). He never likes that part though!

Oh; and some belly button shots for Grandma Metzler...he still had the cord attached last time she was here! Right now it's not really an innie or an outie, it's a tweener :)

Nothing much new here... We have just been hanging out! We do have a busy weekend coming up though. On Saturday Rob's football team plays in Gurnee, IL at 9am and we need to be there early, so that means leaving the house by about 6:30am! Right from Gurnee we are going to Green Bay for Heather & Tyler's wedding. I am very excited to see everyone!

Nothing much new lately...just getting used to having a baby in the house! I think that he's nocturnal though; he has been wide awake at night wanting to talk and look around. He still sleeps all day though and I can't keep him awake...any suggestions?

Saturday with more family!

Justin got to meet his Uncle Ryan, Amanda, Great Grandpa and Grandma Rosebush and cousins Megan and Morgan this weekend! We had a great time! Saturday morning we went to the Barrington Youth Football game and then hung out at Jacobs all day. Aunt Connie made chicken enchiladas and Jumbayla (sp??) and we watched football all day...perfect! I didn't get to hold my son very much; Megan REALLY likes holding him :)

First Trip to a Restaurant!

Yesterday Justin and I hung out with Aunt Connie all day. We went to JoAnn Fabrics going out of business sale (just the Schaumburg location, I think!) and then went to Chevy's for lunch. Justin slept the whole time....surprise, surprise!! He woke up right as we were leaving, but that was just because he needed a diaper change. Then we went back to Aunt Connie's and made pins for the mom's for the Homecoming Football game tomorrow.































Justin gets to meet lots of new people this weekend! Uncle Ryan and Amanda will be here this afternoon and tonight Great Grandpa and Grandma Rosebush will be here with Megan and Morgan! Sunday he gets to meet Godsie, Bob and see Grandma Brooks again! Should be a lot of fun!!!

Here are a few pictures of Thursday night. He was being fussy when I was trying to cook dinner, so I put him on the counter in his bouncy chair and he loved it!

First Walk!

Today when Daddy went to football practice, I took Justin for a walk around the neighborhood. It was about 60 and sunny, so we just bundled up! He loved it! He slept after the first few minutes. His GAP jacket is still a little too big for him, but it worked :) It went by really quickly too because I was talking to Jamie the whole walk!!!

Onesies!!!

Hello! So for all of you who are expecting a baby soon... BUY LOTS OF ONESIES!!! I thought I had plenty of clothes, but I have gone and bought more plain white onesies twice already. Be sure you get short sleeve and long sleeve; it won't be a waste of money! Not to mention it looks cute for the "layered" look! He seems to pee through them at least once or twice a day too!! Here are a couple of more pictures :)

Fall is here in Chicago!!

Today was rainy, windy and cold so we just hung out at home! It was nice to just relax. Today really felt like Fall for the first time...my favorite season! I made meatloaf, potatoes and corn for dinner and had my new Bath & Body Works Pumpkin Spice candle burning. Doesn't get much more Fall than that :)

Here are a couple of quick pictures that we just took. Justin was being fussy after being changed and fed, so I sat him up on his Boppy while I ate and he's been happy every since! I think he just likes being able to watch us instead of laying down all of the time.

Thank You, Mom!!!!

We want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to my mom (aka Grandma Metzler). She helped us out more than you can imagine!! Cooking, cleaning, helping us with the baby, etc. She left this morning and Justin was looking at us like we were two crazy women and didn't know why we were crying!!

We love you very much and already miss you tons. Come back and visit soon!

Time to switch teams??

Today Rob and I went to the Chicago Bears season opener against the Detroit Lions. This is the 2nd year in a row that we went and I wore Lions apparel...when will I learn? Now I know how Cubs fans feel. Every year you think "This will be our year"; and then a game like today!! How embarrasing! We live in a town with a great football team and yet I keep cheering for Detroit?? Is it time for a change?

First Football Game!

Today we took Justin to Huntley for his first football game! He was an angel and slept most of the game! The boys won too; 25-0!!

1 week check-up

We went to the doctor today for Justin's one week check-up and the doctor confirmed what we already know...he's perfect! He weighs 8 pounds 14 oz, which is what he was when we left the hospital.

Yesterday we took Justin to the outlet mall shopping. He was so good! I'm glad he likes to shop :)

No new pictures today, but here is one from last week. Tomorrow will be Justin's first football game! Daddy coaches Brandon and Blake's team with Uncle David so we are going to Huntley to watch the Barrington Broncos! I will post pictures tomorrow!

















It is so nice out I am going to go take Justin for his first walk around our neighborhood and see how he likes walks. He loves car rides, so I think he'll like it! It's 78 degrees and sunny here today..beautiful weather!

"Come Meet Justin" Shower
