2 month appointment!

Mason had his 2 month appointment yesterday. He was supposed to get shots, but our insurance does not cover well baby or immunizations (we are getting new insurance in January!). Two of the four were covered, but I'd rather him just get shots once so I'm going to the health department. This is the LAST thing I want to do with all of the sickness going around, but I didn't want to pay $654 out of pocket either. I think I'm going to one in a rural area (Lacon or Eureka) and be there when they open.

Anyways, my little linebacker is 24 1/4" long and a whopping 15 pounds 13 ounces!!! He's so big! It's not like you can put a 10 week old on a diet though...

The pediatrician also switched his formula to something I can't remember. It's an expensive formula for babies with colic and milk protein allergies. He is so gassy despite Milacon drops and Dr. Brown's bottles. He's just not a very happy baby as much as we'd like him to be. Still love him to pieces though :) Hopefully this new formula makes his tummy feel better!

59 days!!!!!!!

On my way to work this morning, the DJ was groaning because there are only 59 days left until Christmas.

He must not have awesome parents who are coming in from Las Vegas to share in the holiday :)

With all of Uncle Mikey's travels for work he had enough frequent flyer miles to get my parents tickets to Illinois for Christmas!!! They are flying into Peoria on the 23rd and then flying out of O'Hare (since we'll be at Jacobs) on the 27th. It will really feel like Christmas again......and I can't wait!!!!!!!!!

59 days - countdown ticker coming soon :)

But those cheeks are just so heavy to lift brother!

Sitting up with a little help from Daddy!

After all of my flight delays and cancellations (got home at noon on Wed instead of Tuesday evening), I came home to flowers from my boys and from Ericka & Steph and home made cards. I felt so loved :)

Chillin with Daddy at BW's!

Mason hanging out waiting for food to show up!

The way we pass the time at restaurants with Justin :) He's pretty good on an iphone for a 3 year old. He will find games he wants and tell us that we should download it becuase it say's "F-R-E-E"! Yesterday I was texting someone and Rob called me from the other room. Justin told him I'm sending a text message and was busy :)

Uncle Ry and Aunt Manda came to visit us last weekend! It was a short trip, but it was great to see you guys!!!!

Justin helping Daddy open his new pajama pants from Gramma Airplane & Papa - XL Tall! Now maybe we can throw away the ripped and/or painted ones?? :)

My boys!!! Love them all SO, SO, SO much!!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

And we have outgrown our Grand Prix....so Rob got a new truck for his birthday! We LOVE it! The backseat is so big - I can sit between the car seats with the boys :)

Justin's Hockey Fundraiser!

Hello! I know that most of you can't help due to logistics, but if any local friends or family who we are going to see over the holidays would be interested in helping out Justin's hockey team it would be greatly appreciated!!! You can just email me or put a comment on here with what you want. I can pay for now and just collect money when you get the food. We get it on Nov. 14th.

The stuff he is selling is on our hockey blog which I will create a link to on the side bar one of these days. I will post game/practice pics and keep that one updated for our team, but feel free to check it out if you're bored :)

Busy, busy!

Sorry; I have been neglecting the blog!!! I have not been in town long enough to sit and do it. We got home from Vegas on Thursday, worked all day Friday, went to Rivermen hockey on Friday night, Justin had hockey on Saturday morning, we went and looked at a truck on Saturday afternoon, we hung out and I packed Saturday night and I left the house at 4:45am on Sunday morning for my flight to Phoenix! I am getting home late tonight and I CAN'T wait! I miss my boys sooo much - all 3 of them :) Tomorrow is my birthday and we are going to a party for Rob's company and then Rivermen hockey! I know that is a constant theme with us, but we really enjoy going. It's nice to have something we can do that we all enjoy and we can do it together and we are not just sitting at home watching TV or playing Wii!

I can not believe that my baby is 2 months old today either!!! I will try to take and post some pics later this week :) Gotta pack my suitcase and get to the airport!

A few more Vegas pictures!

The boys and I got home from Vegas yesterday. We had SUCH a great time there. We were able to swim, wear shorts, etc. When we landed it was 43 degrees and raining :(

My mom is not feeling very well, she has a pain in her ribs/back that comes and goes in "attacks". She has had a ton of tests done and they can't find anything wrong. They put her on pain medications and a nerve blocker to see if that helped, but it didn't solve the problem. It made it better, but not a solution. So yesterday she had an MRI done and gets the results Tuesday. Please pray that they at least find out *what* is causing the pain. And then that it's something quick and easy to fix! Anyways, with her on her pain meds, she can't drive and her whole job involves driving. It was a blessing in disguise because she got to spend the week with us! Mason was 8 weeks yesterday and Gramma Airplane has gotten to spend over 1/4 of his life with him so far! Not bad for living an airplane ride away :) We love you!

Surprise trip to Las Vegas!

Gramma Airplane with her two favorite kids in the world! Justin picked out her birthday cake...and a card that played "Are you ready for some football" :)

.....and guess who picked out her flowers? He said he wanted to get her Sponge Bob flowers; I never thought we'd find any but he did!

Justin playing around on the patio. If you look to the right you can see how there are no neighbors behind them and it's just a view of the valley and mountains - so pretty!

Viva Las Vegas!

Hello from Las Vegas! Me (Melissa) and the boys got here Thursday afternoon to surprise Gramma Airplane...it was so fun; she had NO idea! We are staying for a week to just relax and play in the pool :)

Justin and Mason were both ANGELS on the flight here. I was a little nervous about flying alone with them...but all went off without a hitch! Other than the extra $50 I had to spend because my suitcase weighed 65 pounds... oh well; still easier than carrying two and I still would have had to pay $40 for another bag! And I didn't do it all by myslef. Ms. Stephy dropped us off at the airport and helped as I got us checked in and got to get rid of the carseat and suitcase and then helped us in the security line..thanks Ms. Steph! We could NOT have done it without your help!

Justin just behaved and watched movies Mason slept the entire way here! Everyone kept telling me how well behaved they were and they didn't even realize there was a baby and toddler around them :) I was so proud!

Now that we are here it's a different story. Mason did not sleep more than 60-90 minutes at a time last night and all day long today he only had one nap longer than 10-15 minutes and it was still only about an hour. He has to be SO TIRED. I hope so anyways because Mommy is! I went to Target tonight and got a travel swing (one of the littler ones that is close to the ground). He is in it now next to my bed and he's asleep so I'm going to cut this short and try to sleep too! Here are a couple pics from my iphone. I have more on the camera that I will have to upload soon!

We miss you so much Daddy! Hope you're having a nice relaxing weekend and catching up on sleep (...and chores!!) Love you!!!

Rockstar!

Justin and Lauren LOVE the Rockstar song by Pink...here is the typical dance when it comes on :) They lose focus about 35 seconds in; probably tired from jumping!

Rivermen Season Opener - October 3rd

Last night we went to the first regular season Rivermen game! We had SO much fun! They lost the game, but we were in great company...we went with the Beusters, Ericka & Brandon and Stephy & Derrik. Justin had a blast with everyone there! Here are some pictures from the night....
