Videos :)

Here is Justin with a new gesture/face that he started doing last night. We laughed so hard when he did it, so then he kept doing it over and over :)

Here was his first night in his new bed....he looks tired doesn't he :)

The Hills 9-15-08

We had a good start to our weekend! We got Justin's big boy bed in his room and went bowling....here are some pics :)

I think he's excited! He does have a comforter and decorations for his room, but we have not gotten that far yet!

Reading prayers in his new bed!

Daddy reading a prayer.

Picking out his favorite one :)

All ready for his first night alone in his big bed!

This was taken after he was sleeping - it was pitch black in his room, but our flash works well :)

We went to Beef O' Bradys for lunch on Saturday. I am the regional alumni chair for the MTU alumni assocation and on Thursday evening we are having a viewing party for the Tech vs. Northern game since it's being televised on national tv. We went to the place we are having it to make sure everything is set! We were trying to keep Justin occupied and drew numbers on the coasters....when Rob held up the "1" and asked Justin "what's this"?, Justin replied with "butterfly" :) We could not argue with him! Little smarty-pants.

Justin's first time bowling! It was glow bowling at 3:30pm....interesting :)

He had to use the yellow ball - that was his favorite. Towards the end he would not carry it unless he had two fingers in it like we did. He liked bowling, but he was not good at the "wait your turn" part :)

"Look Daddy!"

Changing his score...
.....And from here our weekend went downhill fast. After bowling, Katie & Josh were coming over for dinner. We got home and when I went to let the dogs upstairs I saw the the basement was flooded - from one end to the other with 2-3" of water. Ugh. So I called K&J to cancel dinner and of course they were there in 20 minutes anyways armed to help us attack the basement....thank you so much guys! I don't know what we would have done without you!

On Sunday, Justin hit Rob or something (it's a regular occurance). Rob told him "no, no...that hurts" and Justin went and got this chair from the dining room table, slid it to the wall and said "Justin time out" and sat there :) Then he cried like he usually does even though we told him he can get up and was not in time out! He must have known he did something wrong...

Little stud muffin before school today....his new shoes and Bears hoodie :)

Videos to follow as soon as I can get them uploaded!

Weekend in Michigan - Camera #1

Sorry I've been slacking - I was without my broken computer for a week and now I've been swamped at work trying to catch up!

Here are some pics from this weekend. My mom and I have the exact same camera, so I never knew which one I was using and she has more pictures that I want to get! Dad - give me a call when you have internet, mom's camera card and some free time so I can talk you through putting them on my Picassa site. Here is a link to the rest of mine from my camera:

We had a great time and it was so nice to see everyone! Dad and G/G Metzler we missed you and wished we could have seen you! Only 6 weeks until the wedding and we can all be together again!!!

Chinese buffet on Friday night - where else can you get shredded cheese, pudding, cake, pickles, ham, shrimp and a potato wedge all on one plate?? :)

Uncle Mikey and Justin opening a gift a day or two early!

Great - 12 toys in one (10 pins and 2 balls). I am already sick of picking them up :) Justin loves it though!!!!

Ryan, Mom and Manda at the shower Saturday morning

Gramma "Airpane" and Justin - that is what he calls her now. It's funny, but it also breaks my heart that everytime we get to see her it's a flight instead of a drive away :( Move closer.......

Justin and his Great-Great Grandma Bowen

His new sign for his big boy room from the Jacobs! We are thinking about doing the swap to a big boy bed this weekend. Did anyone else do it around this time? Any hints/suggestions or things you wish you would have done?

Justin was petrified of this gift because it yelled and roared and made noises before it was even opened. It was Hulk gloves from Uncle Kurt and Ashley. He still won't go anywhere near them! I put them in his toybox and he won't touch his toys now.

The evil gloves :) We even turned the sound off and he still won't touch them or go near them!

At least Aunt Connie and Aunt Sue are having fun with them!

Blowing out his candles!

Being a ham....

And this was his real birthday on Sunday; his party was on Saturday thankfully. He threw up probably 12-15 times on his actual birthday :( Poor little thing.....

His attempt at getting better.....but right after this he threw up his cracker and powerade that he had just eaten. It was a LONG 7 hour drive home.....

Mommy and Justin night!

Tonight Daddy went up to Barrington to do his fantasy football draft with the guys he has played with the last couple of years. Justin and I decided to go on date night! We went shopping (got another train for 40% off!) and out for ice cream. We had a fun night! Here are a few pics from when we got home. I am not very creative with the track design, so he'll be happy to have Daddy back tomorrow!

Oh!!! And today Justin did not have ANY accidents! Yeah Justin! I put him to bed and he woke up about 10 minutes later crying "Potty Mommy" - and I thought it was just a ploy to get out of bed, but I went and got him, he went potty and went right back to bed without a peep! I'm so proud of him :)

His new part with a door on the hill - it's a mine I think?

Playing with the zoo pieces

Boring track!

Here comes Godzilla!

Hey - this piece looks like a hockey stick! He can seriously turn anything into a sport!

Two years!

I know this is a few days early, but I have to send my computer to our IT people tomorrow, and I wanted to get this posted....

I can't believe our baby will be 2 years old in 5 days!!! Where does the time go? I put pictures below of him as close to the 7th of every month that I had - he is growing up so fast....

Justin - you amaze us everyday. In two short years you have lived in 2 towns, 4 different places, been to 4 daycares (one was for 3 hours!), been to Las Vegas 3 times, Michigan probably 12 times, gone to so many sporting events we can't even count and you always want to go to more....We can't wait to see what you decide you like to play. Right now it's hockey, baseball, football, dolf (golf!), fighting (boxing), bikes, soccer, running, etc.

You are growing up to be such a great little boy. You talk up a storm these days and like to talk in complete sentences! You know your numbers 1 thru 10, can spell your name and know your colors. You are almost potty trained and you only like the brown M&M's :) There is so much more that I can't even think of it now, but we hope when you read this someday you know how special you are to Mommy and Daddy! We love you punkin!
