Friday when Rob picked Justin up from daycare the teacher said that he had to sign an accident form that said Justin bumped his head when playing; no big deal - he's done it before and I am sure he'll do it again. The big deal is that they had Justin in the crib room SLEEPING in a bouncy chair less than 1/2 hour after it happened!!!! He was irate and so was I when he called me. Who lets a baby go to sleep after bumping their head? And why didn't they call me or Rob? He went to the front office and the director had just gotten there. She was not happy with the way the situation is handled either. I was SO MAD. I called her on her cell phone after I saw the bump and vented again. It's not her fault, but something needs to be said to the teachers/Assistand director that were involved. The assistant director signed his accident form without even seeing him. She said that if we want to he can go back to the other infant room which is younger babies and different teachers (we really liked those two). I think he would be bored out of his mind in there though. I can't wait for December to come when he can go to PALS....
Here is the bump....
Sitting in his new chair!
Climbing on his new chair - no guess how he got the bump!
He's all BOY!!!
Here is a smile :)
Quincy is so patient with Justin!
...so patient!

Must have been playing very rough. He didn't even get a bump like that when he fell on the fireplace. But boys will be boys.
Hope I get to come see you soon!
I can't believe they let him take a nap, but in another room! that is asking for trouble. Glad things turned out ok, but I would be just as upset as you are.
It stinks whenever your child gets hurt. Just remember he is a boy and there surely will be many more bumps to come. I know I come from a different point of view, but just don't worry too much about the bumps and going to sleep. Austin had a closed head injury from our daycare provider falling down the stairs with him. We have suffered so much from the results of it and the fact of not knowing if our child was going to live. I know it's easy for me to say not to worry, but things could be so much worse then what happened. But I would have been upset just like you. Glad he is doing better now.
Ugh! That is a big bump! Doesn't look like it bothered him too much though...
Love the pictures of Justin and Quincy! Evelyn is always pulling on Cocoa -- looks like we are both lucky that our dogs are so mellow :)
Ohhhh, that is a huge bump. Poor Justin. I definitely agree with you and the way you handled the situation. Hope it doesn't happen again and they handle future situations better!!
It wasn't until we drove to Illinois Sunday evening that I realized how close I'd be to you and Katie. I should've planned ahead! I was stuck in the Mitsubishi plant all day today, we had a company dinner, and I'm stuck in their tomorrow until the afternoon. Then we're leaving to go to a plant in Indiana tomorrow. So I don't think I'll have the chance to get together. I'm sad because I would have loved the chance to have a non-work dinner and meet Justin too!
If I'm down this way again, I will definitely plan ahead:)
