Friday I had the camper ready to leave right when Rob got home from work (okay...within 90 minutes!). We headed to Clinton Lake in Dewitt, IL. I was a little nervous because the campground was first come, first served...but we had no issues! We actually had our choice of a lot of sites! We picked out one that we liked and it worked out perfectly! It was a nice big open site with 30 amp hook-up (so we could run our air conditioner!). Before we parked we went and filled our water tank - or so we thought. We actually filled where you would hook up if you had a full hook-up site with pressurized water on demand. So all we really did was fill our lines. We figured this out when we were out of water in a few minutes....oops. No big deal - we just went back the next morning and filled the right tank. It gave Rob practice with the hitch and I got to back it in the site! Practice will make perfect, right?
Friday night we got firewood and went to make a fire...only we didn't because the wood was crappy and apparently not very dry. So we said screw it and went to bed at 9:30pm so we could get a good nights sleep for the rest of the weekend. That was until about 9:50pm when Tony texted me and said watch the radar for the storm coming your way! It was a doozie. The good news is our camper has no water leaks because it rained a TON. I'd rather have bad weather for sleeping though than all day!
Saturday morning we got up and got ready because Cusmanos (Tony, Ali, Jack & Bella) our friends from hockey were picking us up at the dock at 9am for a fun filled day of boating! We had a blast! They have a super nice new Four Winns and it goes fast! We went tubing, swimming, to the beach, etc. We went back to our camper with them for lunch and then back on the lake....Fun times! After that we went back to camp and Katie & Josh came for the night. We grilled out, had a fire (with new wood) and just hung out. I love having nothing to do - it was a wierd feeling! Katie & Josh slept in their tent and of course Justin was more intrigued by that than the camper since the camper was old news by Saturday night. Oh well.
Sunday morning we got up and make pancakes and bacon for Father's Day breakfast and packed up to head home. Before we went home though we stopped at the docks and did a little fishing. Those buggers are crafty because we went through 6 night crawlers before actually catching one! I think we need smaller hooks :) Justin did catch his very first fish though! He was using the Scooby-Doo pole that my dad got me for my shower when I was pregnant with Justin! J had a good time, but I think with smaller hooks we would have better luck; there was definitely fish in there - because they stole lots of worms from us! Oh, and Dad you'd be proud of me....I baited the hooks AND took the fish off with my bare hands!
Here are some pictures from the weekend....
The boys in their beds the first night.
Justin was so excited to sleep on the top bunk!
We put Mason's pack and play on the table with no cushions and it worked out perfect!
Breakfast on the first morning.
Rob putting water in the *right* tank :)
Tony, Jack and Justin
Mason with a death grip on Rob - he didn't like the water at first.
Clinton Lake - Beach at the state park
Mason changed his mind soon :) The water is warm because there is a nuclear plant right next to the lake and they use the lake for their cooling. NO there are not chemicals or danger to swimming in there before I get helpful parenting advice from anyone!
My sweet baby boy
Love this picture! My little angels :)
Justin with crazy hair going fast on the boat
Justin and Jack
Mommy and Justin swimming
Justin did really good for his first time swimming in a lake where he couldn't touch!
He had such a good time :)
Self-portrait! My tan lines are going to be special next weekend with a strapless bridesmaid dress!
Daddy getting our fire started on Saturday night

Katie, Josh and Mason
Hanging out at camp
Mason just chilling. I like this pic because you can see why we liked this site - nobody behind us, other than the deer and bunnies :)
All conked out after a day of boating & swimming!
Making Daddy pancakes for breakfast (photo by Justin!)
Fishing on Father's Day!
Watching the fish steal our worms!
Finally success :) :) :)
Justin touching his fish :) Perfect end to a perfect weekend! Actually the perfect end was Rob pulling the trailer within 8" of the garage perfectly on the first try! It must have been my mad spotting skills!

You guys have been busy! I can't wait to get my energy back - I think camping trips will be eminent this fall since we don't have any planned for the summer thus far.
