U of M vs. Ohio State Game

Justin's cousin Jen goes to U of M and she bought him this outfit when he was born. I didn't think it would fit him until much later since it's 6-9 months, but it fit perfectly for the big game yesterday!

Superbowl Champions - Barrington Broncos!!!!

This afternoon the Barrington B roncos won the Superbowl Championship for the TCYLF Featherweights!!! We won 30-6!! The boys got to play at Lake Zurich High School on astroturf, so they were very excited. We had announcers and everything! I don't have any pictures from during the game because I forgot to take my camera out...and my fingers were frozen!

Justin didn't go to the game; he stayed home with a babysitter for the first time. It was just too cold for him to be outside. Ms. Melissa from his daycare doesn't live too far from us and she came to our house and watched him. It worked out great! I am glad that we have someone that he knows and we are comfortable leaving him with. And she has a big dog at home, so Quincy & Tucker are not a problem for her!

Let the celebration begin!

Uncle Dave accepting the trophy...it will look so nice on the new sofa table in their living room, right Aunt Connie?!?!

I know that this picture is not clear (I got the camera out of the car to take the picture, and the lens had condensation on it), but I still had to post it. I woke up and found Justin and Rob next to me sleeping like this :) I didn't even hear Rob bring him into bed with us...I must have been really tired! They are so cute!!!

2 Month check-up

Justin had his two month doctors appointment yesterday. He did better with the shots than his mommy did....I think I cried more than him! He is now 13 lbs 8 oz and 25 inches long. The weight is in about the 90th percentile, but as you can see below his height is not in a percentile because it's above the curves on the graph. No wonder he is outgrowing his 6 MONTH clothes already!!! What happened to my little baby boy? Dr. B said that Justin is perfectly healthy and doing great. He does have a stuffed up nose and has had it for a while now, but the doctor said not to worry and that it is common in babies.

Last Friday night we put him in his crib to sleep in his own room for the first time (thanks to the suggestion by Grandma Metzler...and the offer that she'd get up with him when he cried!). Best idea yet! He has been sleeping better than ever. The last two nights he went to bed around 9:30-10pm after his bath and woke up around 4:30am! The first night he did it, Rob woke me up at 3:30am to see if I had gotten up with the baby and he didn't hear me...we both realized that neither of us had gotten up with him and Rob went in to check on him, but of course he was fine. Just being an angel baby :)

I think that Rob and Justin and I might go on a date tonight to BW3's for dinner and then to a Chicago Hounds hockey game. If we do I will be sure to post pictures later this weekend :)

Baptism

Sunday was Justin's baptism. It was a weekend full of lots of family and friends!

The Brooks Family before the baptism

Justin's Godparents - Aunt Connie and Uncle Mikey

The extended Brooks family - Bob, Kent, Melissa, Justin, Rob, Sue and Godsie

The Metzler Family - Ryan, Mom, Amanda, Melissa, Justin, Rob, Dad, Sandra & Mike Jr.

Getting baptised into the Holy Family Catholic Parish.... He was the only baby to be immersed. We had the choice to just do a little water on his head or the full immersion. He cried a little bit, but not too much!

Thank you so much to everyone who made the trip to Chicago to share in Justin's special day. It really means a lot to us!

A HUGE thank you to Uncle Dave, Aunt Connie, Brandon, Blake and Alec for having the party at your home after the church and for helping with the food, drinks, etc. It is much appreciated!

Thanks to Mom and Dad Metzler and Ryan and Amanda for coming on Friday to help us shop, cook, prepare the food and get ready for the party. Also, to Grandma Rosebush and Grandma Metzler for making salads and desserts...everything was very yummy!!

With working full time and a new baby Rob and I couldn't have done it without all of your help!

TCYFL Superbowl....here we come!

The Barrington Broncos won the Conference Championship game on Saturday morning! It was a very close game; we won 6-0...scoring with 48 seconds left in the game!!!

Next Sunday is the Superbowl Game!!!!

Final score!

So excited!!! We all were :)

Yummy!!!

We gave Justin cereal for the first time Friday night. He has not been sleeping well at night, he always seems hungry. We just give him a very little bit, but he LOVES it! Here are some pics from Friday and Saturday night...

All bundled up...

I finally found a winter hat for Justin that does not have ears on it! It seems like all hats for newborns either have dog or bear ears on them. He has gloves to match too! Oh; and the BundleMe on the carseat is the best invention ever!!!

Halloween

Darth Vader and Yoda...otherwise known as Tucker & Quincy! Tucker would not keep his helmet on, but he still made a good Darth!
