See you tomorrow Daddy!!!!

We miss you so much Daddy! I know that you love how happy Justin is after his bath time, so tonight we took a few pictures for you. Justin can't wait for you to get home tomorrow and give him his bath!!! Have a safe flight home :)

Happy boy!

He was talking up a storm!!!

I think that he might be getting a tooth on the bottom. There is a bump on his gums, plus he almost always has his fist in his mouth or his tongue sticking out...it's so cute!

Last night we took a Christmas picture of Justin and Quincy & Tucker wanted to cooperate too!! His blanket from Grandma Metzler says "My First Christmas" but it doesn't show up very well in this picture. It's very soft and cuddly...he loves it!

Last few days....

What a week :) I am very happy to report that Justin is feeling a lot better than he was on Tuesday. He is still coughing a bit, but not nearly as bad as he was. I think the antibiotics are helping a lot! He has been very happy too! I worked from 6:30am-7:00pm today and he was home with Daddy all day. Daddy said he was a very good boy!

Here are a few pictures from laying around the house trying to get healthy this week...

It's hard to tell here, but Justin is holding his own bottle and not resting it. He doesn't do this often, but it's so cute when he does!

Beautiful blue eyes!!!

So intently watching......

......Disney Christmas! He liked the bright colors!

Having a heart to heart with Daddy.

Poor Baby....

We had a long evening yesterday. On Monday, Justin started coughing pretty bad again so I made him a doctors appointment for 4pm yesterday. I seriously thought we would take him to the doctor adn they would tell us that I am being a neurotic mom and it's just a cold. Wrong!

She is treating him (and Rob & I) for Pertussis - more commonly known as Whooping Cough. It has NOT been confirmed yet because test results take at least a week. She said that based on his symptoms and the sound of the cough she is convinced this is what it is. So we went from the pediatrician's office to the hospital for a nasal swab test. No fun. Justin and I were both crying. I thought it would just be a painless quick test, but they put the swab so far up his nose :( He made it through and we had just gotten home when the hospital called and said that the lab accidentally did an influenza test on the swab instead of Pertussis....so back to the hospital we went to do the whole thing again. When we were there, Rob and I went into the ER and got a prescription for the antibiotic for ourselves so we don't pass this back and forth to eachother. This is a highly contagious "disease", which I hate that word but that is what everything I have read is calling it. We have medication for him (the pediatrician said she does not want to wait for the results before starting treatment) and have to watch him closely to make sure he does not have trouble breathing when trying to cough. He is in a pretty happy mood and does not act sick. He is congested and has the cough, but hopefully the antibiotics will take care of this. The other bad news is that Whooping cough is also known as "the 100 day cough". Great....

He is considered contagious until he's been on the medicine for 5 days...same for me and Rob. So he is home from day care and I will be working from home for a couple of days. I am glad that we took him in and caught it early, if it is in fact Pertussis. I would rather treat it and be safe rather than sorry.

So keep your fingers crossed that the results will come back negative!!

Sorry; no new pictures today. I will take some and post later.....

B.E. Exersaucer

On Sunday, Daddy put togetherJustin's exercaucer that Uncle Bruce and Janet bought for him. It was one of the very first baby gifts we recieved. I didn't think that he would be able to use it this soon, but he is holding his head up really steady and he really liked it! His feet don't quite touch the floor yet, but it won't be long! We just have to be careful because this puts him at the exact same level that Quincy and Tucker's tails swing at!!

Busy weekend!

This past weekend flew by! Grandma Metzler came into town to see us on Thursday....we are holding her hostage and don't want her to leave :( Justin loves playing with her and talking to her; and Rob and I love sleeping all night when Grandma gets up with him!!!

On Friday, Rob and I went to a Hounds game and Justin stayed home with Grandma. Then on Saturday we got up and went shopping which is Justin's favorite weekend activity! We did not have much luck finding anything we were looking for. Saturday night Brandon, Blake and Alec came over and spent the night and we just hung out and ordered pizza. Then on Sunday we once again went shopping...this time we had better luck though because we went to Casual Male Big & Tall! Finally Rob found shirts with sleeves long enough! Then on Sunday evening Rob and I went to the Thermosystems Christmas party. Grandma took pictures of me, Rob and Justin before we left and we got a really good one! Now it's time to make Christmas cards!!
