Oh the weather outside was frightful....and so were the roads!!!

Well, we did get the snow we were promised. We even got ice before the snow!! Lucky us :) I woke up this morning and it took me 25 minutes to get Justin to day care (normally less than 5 minutes away). From there I proceeded to try to get to work. After about 90 minutes and not even being close to 1/2 way there I gave up and turned around. Traffic going the other way was not bad at first. All it takes is one person in a Honda or a Geo getting stuck to screw up traffic! I was ready to run them over with the Yukon!

There was one lady in particular who got stuck right in front of me when she tried turning right onto a road that a plow had JUST left about 18 inches on snow blocking the way....yes; she was in a Honda Accord of course. Anyways, she figures out that she is stuck and gets out of her car and proceeds to take 2 HANDFULLS of snow away from the front of her car, gets back in and tries to go again. I would have tried to help her if there was ANY way she could maybe get out of it, but she needed a tow. No amount of hand shoveling was going to work. I think it was her winter in America so she probably has never seen snow! Oh well. I worked from home today and got a lot done!

Rob had to find the shovel in the shed. Quincy and Tucker were running hot laps around the shed!

Trying to remember how to run in snow again!

Tired out!

Our neighbor Theresa who came over and helped Rob shovel!

Our neighbor Scott...our hero of the day! After the plow went by and left wet snow at the end of the driveway he was a lifesaver!!!

Wow that looks like so much fun. I am terribly jealous. No snow here:( although it is pretty cold, went down to the 20's last night.

How much fun is that? I really miss the snow. It did get down to almost 35 last night, which is the coldest it has been in like 3 years here.

Just keep that snow in Illinois. We got an ice storm last week adn lost power for almost 24 hours. Now there is just a light dusting of the white stuff. Is it spring yet?
