.... I have started this blog about 10 times and don't even know what to say.
I got a call around 8:30 this morning from Katie. As soon as she sat down at work this morning, she got a call from her mom telling her that her dad died last night in a car accident. Please keep her and Josh and their whole family in your thoughts and prayers. They are flying from Peoria to the UP today and will be there all week. I will keep this short and let Katie blog about it when she is ready. My heart hurts so much for her right now; I can't imagine what she is going through or what she will be enduring in the coming weeks, months and years.
Katie - when you do read this please know that I am here for you anytime. I hated leaving you this morning, but you have Josh to lean on and the two of you will get through this. You are such a strong person and you amaze me with the way you handle difficult situations. There are no words to express how sorry I am....

Melissa, PLEASE send my love and prayers to Katie when you see/talk to her. I know you'll be a great source of strength for her during this tough time.
My heart aches for Katie. I cannot even imagine the pain she is going through. Thank you for sharing this with us. My prayers and thoughts are with her right now.
