Yeah - it's FINALLY Friday :) I am so excited for the weekend. I am going to try and not work at all if I can get away with it!
*Last night we got new curtains. They are the exact same as our old ones except they are the chocolate color instead of burgandy. I need to sew the ones for the front window because they are too long. It will be nice to not be living in a fishbowl soon! I think I might put the burgandy ones on Craigs List - might as well get something for them if I can!
*I want to redo our bathrooms. It would be fairly inexpensive - a coat of paint, shower curtain, rug, etc. The one downstairs needs a little more work because the wall paper has to come down and it needs new fixtures. Still not the end of the world. We better finish the baby's room first though! It needs a closet, door, and paint.
*I want new carpet. Bad. Nothing expensive - just the instock stuff at Lowes. Our carpet now is white. White plush. With a 2 1/2 year old and 8 paws running around it looks HORRIBLE. It's past the point of even steam cleaning now. It's bad. I will have a nice commission check coming this fall from a couple of big jobs I just got, but want the carpet now :) We'll see. I would rather do it now before we bring up all of the baby furniture - that's my excuse.
*We are excited to have family in town for Easter! The whole Brooks clan is coming and I think Uncle Mikey is too if he gets his time off approved - keeping our fingers crossed! Uncle Mikey has training in Chicago the week after Easter on Tues/Wed so he will be here the day we find out if Justin will have a baby brother or sister! We have our appointment at 11:30am on Monday the 13th. I CAN'T wait!!! We get to find out if I get to go on a pink spree or start washing the baby clothes in our tupperware tubs downstairs :) One is cheaper, one is much more fun!
*We have a home Rivermen game tonight. It's against Houston - the team that we are tied for 2nd place with. It should be a good game! Tomorrow we are going to the Quad Cities for the away Rivermen game. It's only about 90 miles and we get to watch hockey at a nice arena and the best part is going across the river to Iowa for Outback Steakhouse!!!! (we don't have one here). Yummy and fun!
*Next week is looking to be pretty busy too! Monday we have the end of season banquet for the Rivermen, Tuesday we have swimming lessons, Wednesday we have hockey, Thursday we have swim lessons and then either Friday or Saturday our company will be here! Oh, and I have a ton of work in there somewhere too..... :)

I have my first u/s on the 13th! I have to wait a long time before we find out pink or blue though!
I could do some painting, light fixture hanging and rip carpet out if I have downtime in the next few weeks... :)
What a nice brother to offer that! I have a list of stuff that I want to do with our house too, but I'm in the same boat. We should tackle the project that gets us ready for the baby first. But I want new floors sooooo bad. We have the same problem. Ultra light beige carpet with 2 kids, a cat, and a dog. It looks like hell even after we spend an entire Sunday cleaning it (that's what we did last weekend).
I passed a lot of clothes from the twins down to Cambrie, but you would probably be surprised how much you still buy even if you have another boy. I would see something so cute and have to buy it. Shopaholic :)
