The Hills - 11/14/07

Hello! Not much is new around here...just thought I would check in and say hello!

I was really busy Monday & Tuesday with work, working late nights both days. I hate working late and not getting to spend time with Rob & Justin, but at least it does not happen too often. Justin is doing good. He has a cold, but when doesn't he? He's still happy like usual! He's been sleeping really well - goes down at 9pm everynight and gets up between 6:30-7am. I am not sure how the time change will be on us this weekend when we go to Las Vegas! I have a feeling he'll be getting up REALLY early. I'm glad his Grandpa & Grandma are excited to see him...hopefully they feel the same way early in the morning :)

Fall is in full swing in Central Illinois....it's SO windy here today! I am really happy with our house though and it must have good windows because it's not drafty at all. Our house stays warm in the day too with the heat set way down, even with the cold & wind. That is one bad thing about our house in Elgin is it is very drafty...we didn't put that on the listing though! The deer have been tormenting the dogs a lot today too. I saw the buck again - he's beautiful! I really hope he does not get shot. He's getting braver - today Tucker went crazy and he was probably only 20 feet away and they had a stare down for about 10 seconds before the buck went the other way. I think he is starting to realize that Tucker is fenced? I don't know how smart deer are. They are pretty domestic because there is a house back in the woods behind us and they just stand there with cars driving by.

I got all of our bills enrolled on our online banking system. I have been dreading it for a while and just sending in checks, but now that it's set up, it will make paying bills so much quicker! Especially since we're paying bills on 2 houses....lots of them every month!

Saturday morning we'll be leaving on a jet plane - we can't wait! I am a little nervous about Justin but I am sure we'll be okay. Rob and I bought him a few books at the school book fair that we did not give him yet - new things for the plane! I got a pocket size magna doodle too... We were going to buy a personal DVD player, but with Christmas coming and such it's $$ that we really don't need to spend. Especially since he won't use it all that much. If we find a great deal, maybe but we didn't find any deals this week and we would need it by Saturday. I will have my laptop, but I don't think I want him pushing buttons and such since it's a company computer, and not a cheap one!
