The Brooks Family: The Hills

Hello all! Sorry for the long lapse in blogging - we've had a pretty busy week! Tuesday night we went out and about to Sam's Club and such and it was SO WINDY! I have never seen wind like we did that night. Shopping carts were whipping across the parking lots! Then on Wednesday we went and got Justin his 4th? haircut - his hair gets so thick! Last night we went to the Rivermen game against Grand Rapids with Katie & Josh. Brett Englehardt (another Tech alum that graduated with me) plays for the Griffins, so it was fun to see him play again! The game was kind of boring - not very physical at all, but the Rivermen still won! Justin was pretty tired...we had given him Tylenol before the game because he had a fever. He has gotten both of his bottom inscisor teeth this week - poor kid! He's been a trooper though!

Last night we got quite a bit of snow (for Illinois anyways!). I just shoveled 1/2 the driveway and can't breathe...I think I need to work out more! The dogs have had fun playing in it! I think tomorrow we'll try to hook up Justin's new sled to Tucker and let him go for a ride :)

We have lots to look forward to this month!!! This Saturday Katie & Josh are coming over and Katie is making her famous tacos :) Then Sunday is the Superbowl! Next week is busy at work, but next weekend Grandpa & Grandma Brooks are coming to visit! Justin is excited to see them! We have a couple of Rivermen game we're going to go to also! Then on the 22nd me and Katie are going to see Brad Paisley - can't wait! Then on the 28th we are going to LV to visit Gramma & Papa (and Great Grandpa & Grandma Rosebush)!!! So excited :)

Justin is ready for the Superbowl! I'm not a huge Patriots fan, but Tom Brady made us some $$ this year since he was the QB on Rob's fantasy football team!!
