Monday morning, Justin and I drove my mom to work while Daddy packed up all of our stuff. Justin cried when she got out of the car and after we drove away he had his arms up crying "back, back" like the "put it back" she taught him - so of course I was crying even more. Then we went and got Rob and went to Papa's jobsite to say goodbye - another tear fest. Although this time Justin was being a stinker and wouldn't even give him a kiss. I think he didn't want to leave. As soon as we left there, we went to the strip so I could go to M&M world and get a gift for the neighbor kids who were watching Quincy & Tucker - our next door neighbors are great! (The Hillers) I am really excited for summer to get to know them even better...they have Brandon who is 9, Jenna is 4 and a baby on the way! Oh, and Cassie - a black lab that Tucker loves to run the fence line with! Anyways, after that we went back to Palace Station and had lunch with Great Grandpa & Grandma. Then they took Justin out by the pool while Rob and I played one more hour of Blackjack. We turned $200 into $425, so we left on a good note! I think we came out a little bit ahead in the gambling side of things, so we can't complain!
We got to the airport and the line for check-in was really long. We made it through that, made it through security and then found out we had a 2 hour delay. Normally this would not be a big deal, but when travelling with an 18 month old who was gearing up for a nice nap, that threw a wrench in our plans! So we walked the airport, got TCBY, soda, etc. and kept him awake for our 3.5 hour wait. When we got on the plane he was an ANGEL! He fell asleep before we took off and woke up once for a drink and to change sleeping positions and he was out again until we touched down in Peoria! If he did that everytime we would be more excited about flying with him.... I am sure this is just what Aunt Manda wants to hear - he cried the whole way home when she had him :(
It was a VERY FUN trip and we can't wait to go back soon! Thanks for everything mom and dad & grandpa and grandma rosebush! We love you!
Looking for what sweet treats to bring home with us!
Great Grandpa and Justin
